Not solid form, but it’s solid shape with solid material. Solid material creates solid shape chair, but it’s not solid form black grid mesh it’s able to make curved shape when layering them, creates layered grids see-through layers, Object is located inside those layers.

The mesh from GKD and Haver & Boecker / I O Metal mesh are some of the finest mesh in the world – The mesh comes from very fine like fabric to very heavy like for mining equipment but the finish is for architectural work.
